Matias Santos is an Argentine dancer, born in the province of Entre Rios, where his studies of classical dance begins. He immediately, won the scholarship "Maximiliano Guerra”, of the Arts and Culture Foundation, and entered to the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón, integrating the "Young Ballet of the ISA", doing with it ​​several tours as a principal dancer across Argentina and other countries such as Mexico and Uruguay. He also participated in the "Aberdeen International Youth Festival", executed in Scotland, directed by Lidia Segni, current director of the Ballet of the Teatro Colón.

In 2005 he was chosen in an open competition, and by an international jury, as a part of the Stable Ballet of the Teatro Colón, where he excelled as a soloist and principal dancer in several roles of plays such as "Who Cares?" And "Symphony in C" by Balanchine, "The Sleeping Beauty", "El Combate", "The Swan Lake", "Raymonda", "Don Quixote", "Pulsaciones", "Petrushka", "Le Corsaire" and many others. He played the role of Prince Gremin in the ballet "Onegin" by John Cranko and the main character in "Before Nightfall " by Nils Christe .

In 2010 he toured Central America as a principal dancer of the company "Tango Passion" and then he was invited to participate in the Festival of Cabo Frio, Brazil, alongside international stars of the dance.

He was summoned to participate in various Ballet Galas, under the direction of the Maestros Tatiana Fesenko and Martin Miranda, acting in several inner cities of Argentina, as in Aruba, Montevideo, Punta del Este, Muscat and Buenos Aires, as a part of the Teatro Colón stars.

In 2012 he was chosen and prepared by Maestro Victor Valcu, for the main role of the ballet "Onegin” by J. Cranko .

He was formed artistic and academically by the Maestro Martin Miranda, prepared by him as the protagonist of the famous plays "Giselle" (with Gabriela Alberti), "Coppelia", "Chopiniana", "Les Sylphides" and "Le Corsaire", among others.

In 2013, he toured Oman as principal dancer of the works of the Ballet of the Teatro Colón.

In June of that year, he participate as partener of Luana Brunetti in the XII International Ballet Competition of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, where the important Award for Artistic Mastery is obtained. Then, he participated, representing the Teatro Colón, in the "International Ballet Gala" in Paraguay. Then, interpreted as a principal dancer, the role of "Strauss" of the ballet "Cinderella" and is chosen for the roles of "Siegfried" and "Von Rothbart" from "Swan Lake" by Peter Wright.

During 2014, he participated as a guest at a gala celebrated in honor of the first international dancer Marianela Núñez. Also that year, is highlighted by critics for his starring role playing the French sculptor "Rodin" in the great homonymous play of the Russian choreographer Boris Eifman, this part represents an important milestone in his career. Then, he played "Hilarion" in the ballet “Giselle” and participated in the 24th "International Festival of Havana" in Cuba. Last November, was honored in his hometown, where he was awarded with the title of "Dilecto Son" and  he presented his own show called "Balletango" with which it is currently on tour, receiving great acclaim and recognition from both public and the press.
